The difference in fees between any two Agents is likely to be within a few thousand dollars...but the difference between a poor sale price and an exceptional sale price is enormous.

For this reason, don't select on fees alone...our suggestion is to determine the Agent who you believe will get the very best outcome, and then negotiate a fee with them.

Agents typically charge a fixed percentage of your sale price, but don't be fooled into thinking this motivates them to get you the best outcome. For most Agents, every $5,000 they add to your sale price equates to around $50 for them. When finding their next Listing could be worth $25,000 in commission, Agents want to get your property sold today so they can focus on winning new business, rather than seeking out more Buyers and fighting hard at the negotiating table to earn themselves an extra $50.
